The name SouthOf635 was chosen as a way to convey the blog's focus on the heart of Dallas. When you hear Dallasites say "south of 635" you know they are talking about where all the action is happening. "South of 635" generally refers to everything from tony Preston Hollow down through Lakewood and bustling Uptown, and across the river into Oak Cliff...neighborhoods that form the cultural heart of Dallas and that have driven the City's success over the years.
